WOODSTOCK GEORGIA REAL ESTATE

                Woodstock Georgia is located about 30 miles north of Atlanta and is in South Cherokee County. It is one of Cherokee County’s oldest towns, and was incorporated in 1897.  

            There are many stories of how Woodstock was named. Some believe that it got its name from a novel by Sir Walter Scott. Others believe that it got its name from a Mr. Woodstock who had started a school there.

 

            Woodstock is one of the fastest growing cities in Cherokee County. It has doubled in size in the past 10 years. I-575 and State Highway 92 run through Woodstock which gives the area unlimited business opportunities.

            According to the 2005 Census Woodstock has a population of about 19,602, and has an area of about 8.8 miles. Woodstock is serviced by Cherokee County Schools.
