ACWORTH GEORGIA REAL ESTATE

                Acworth Georgia is located in northwest Cobb County and is known as the Lake City due to its proximity of Lake Allatoona and Lake Acworth. Acworth was incorporated in 1840 and was named by Joseph Gregg for his hometown by the same name in New Hampshire. In November of 1864, during the Civil War, Union General William T. Sherman burned Acworth.

            According to the 2005 Census Acworth has a population of around 17,428. Acworth is serviced by Cobb County Schools.
