Agents Jim and Carol Bello

Alpharetta began as a campground and was originally known as New Prospect until 1858. Alpharetta got its name from the Greek words “alpha” which means first and “retta” which means town. Later in 1858 Alpharetta was chartered and was the county seat of old Milton County until 1931 when it merged with Fulton county.

As of the 2006 Census Alpharetta had a population of around 57,000. It has a Mayor and a city council that has 6 members.

Georgia 400 (U.S. 19) is the major freeway that connects Alpharetta and Atlanta.

It is a short drive to Atlanta and that makes it one of the area’s most desirable locations.

It is in the Fulton County school system.
